Meet our team
Brainstorming session
Each one gave his idea, wrote it on sticky notes and then we organized them by theme: recycling, application, reduce food waste for a better consumption, renewable energy, reduce the impact of human activities on the environment.
A vote was taken to choose the best theme, and we finally chose to work on an application related to the environment. We then thought about the different sections of our application.

ADRIE is a place where you can bring odl/used furnitures, devices (cooking devices, computers...). It's a non-profit association.
The coordinator gave us some advices about our app.
We also visited Ti Tang Recup: it's a place where you can bring used textiles, house linens and/or clothes. They sort out in different categories and it will be sold at a low price.

Presentation of the project to the IT class:
In December we presented to the post-graduate students. It was a powerpoint.
The aim was to explain to the students what we had designed for the application so that they could then develop it.
It was intimidating because we spoke in English. Some felt stressed but it was successful because our presentation was clear and informative.
The IT students asked us questions such "what sections will the site have?"

Prototype:
The IT class developed in french a draft of the application : the homepage, the challenge section and the interactive map.
Our work on the quiz section:
Partnership
As our application concerns the environmental sector, we thought of some possible partners:
- ADRIE – a recycling center in Reunion
- EMAUS – an association that recycles used clothes and other household items and resells them at low prices
- Waste centers from local governments
Promotion
We had to find a name for our application: we agreed on "For a sweet Island".
As a first step, we would like to test the application with students and teachers of the high school. They are the target audience.
We thought about different ways of promotion:
- Flyers /posters
- An announcement on the school’s website
- Social media: Instagram and facebook
- Organize a challenge in the school: an escape game. The goal is to promote the application.
How does it work? Participants are given a card with a riddle on one side and a clue on the other. For each riddle, the goal is to find one word. Then, players use the clue to find the next card. The words will then be used to make a sentence. The game will take place in two different rooms, each team (10 participants) competes to win. The first team to find all the words and form the sentence wins. The winning team can win a voucher/a coupon with the ADRIE.
Later, the target could be larger and the application could be available in the app store. For this, we need to describe the application and write key words, so that people would like to download it.
Possible description for the app store:
"It’s an application which can teach you how you can save your island at your pace and keep the island clean and beautiful.
The app contains fun games, simple tips, and gives you the power to reduce the island’s pollution with simple actions. "
Key words:
Reduce pollution, nature, clean island, waste, quiz, bin, clean air, eco-friendly, challenge, save the planet, sweet island, ecological, Reunion
Examples of flyers/posters that we have created and designed with the CANVA website:
Competencies
Here are the skills that we believe are most important for a young entrepreneur : being a leader, motivated, self-confident, creative and organized.
He must be a good leader because he must know how to make efficient decisions.
If he’s not motivated, he’s not going to be invested in the project and it won’t be developed properly.
If he doesn’t believe in himself, he won’t be able to go forward and to convince eventual collaborators.
Creativity is important for an entrepreneur because he needs to be original, he must not copy the ideas of other people. A creative idea can grab people's attention more easily.
To be organized is also a quality. If you're not, you will lose time and you will not be focused on the project. Being well organized helps the entrepreneur to keep track of the schedule.
